Water crystal beads (also called water gel marbles) are tiny superabsorbent polymer spheres that are able to absorb up to 400 times their weight in water!  Just  mix 1 teaspoon (4g) of these small crystals with 1 quart of water, let it sit overnight, and you’ll have over 2 cups of 10-15mm gel marbles.  For even more fun, add food coloring to your water and be amazed by how beautiful the beads look!
